Samsung SDI Signs $1.36 Billion US Battery Deal

Samsung SDI announced that its unit, Samsung SDI America, will supply lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to a US energy company. The three-year contract, starting in 2027, is worth over 2 trillion won ($1.36 billion). The batteries will be produced by converting existing production lines at Samsung SDI’s US plant.
