Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu today declared that he quit the ruling YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Ambati Rayudu took the sudden decision just nine days after joining CM Jagan’s YSR Congress party. Ambati Rayudu shared a post on ‘X’ along with his exit from the party. He also revealed that he would be taking a short break from politics.
It is known that a month after retiring from cricket, Ambati Rayudu has stepped into the field of politics in Andhra Pradesh. In this regard, Ambati Rayudu has recently joined the ruling YSRCP party in the presence of the party’s supremo and AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. After joining the YSRCP, Rayudu highlighted that he was inspired by the leadership and vision of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Ambati Rayudu belongs to the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, and he played 55 one-day internationals and six T20 internationals for India. Rayudu scored 1,694 runs in ODIs at an average of 47.05, with three centuries and 10 fifties, and he also scored 42 runs in T20Is at an average of 10.50. However, Rayudu retired from the IPL after the 2023 final.
