The Srisailam temple Executive Officer (EO) Peddiraju revealed that devotees have donated Rs 4,83,53,238 for a period of 28 days, from December 13, 2023, to January 9, 2024.
The hundi of the well-known auspicious Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam got Rs 4.83 crore for a period of 28 days. In this regard, the counting of hundi at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple occurred on Wednesday. The Srisailam temple Executive Officer (EO) Peddiraju revealed that devotees have donated Rs 4,83,53,238 for a period of 28 days, from December 13, 2023, to January 9, 2024.
Apart from Indian currency, 133.300 grams of gold, 11.850 kg of silver ornaments, and foreign currency were also donated to the Srisailam temple. The temple authorities revealed that 1751 USA Dollars, 90 South African Rands, 14 Kuwait Dinars, 15 Oman Riyals, 450 UAE Dirhams, 40 Canada Dollars, 28 Singapore Dollars, 100 Australia Dollars, 10 Euros, and 5 Qatar Riyals were donated by foreign devotees to the temple.
In Srisailam temple, Lord Shiva is worshiped as Mallikarjuna and is represented by the lingam, and his consort Parvati is depicted as Goddess Bhramaramba. According to Hindu mythology, Shiva is referred to as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India,and Goddess Bramarambha’s shrine is referred to as one of the fifty-two Shakti peethas. In Srisailam, the Krishna River is called Patal Ganga. One has to go down 852 stairs to reach the river, and the Shiva Linga is bathed in the water of this river.
