All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) president Badruddin Ajmal claimed the BJP party and said that without Muslim votes, the Bharatiya Janata Party can’t win the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls and form the government at the Centre.
While addressing a press conference in Goalpara, Ajmal made these claims. He also claimed that Union Minister Giriraj Singh, PM Narendra Modi, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said that they will go to Muslim areas, visit mosques and madrasas, and bring at least 10% of the votes so that they can form the government; otherwise, they cannot.
He further said that they have advised their party members and supporters not to vote for the BJP in the forthcoming polls. Earlier, in November, Ajmal said that his party had given away 11 seats to the Congress to fight against the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
He had also said that his party would contest three out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in the Assam elections. His party will contest in Dhubri, Nagaon, and Karimganj seats, and the AIUDF will support the INDIA bloc, he further added.
Meanwhile, amid talks between the INDIA partners to arrive at a seat-sharing agreement for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP national president JP Nadda arrived in Guwahati yesterday to chair key party meetings in the state.
