TMC Warns MLA For Calling Protesting Doctor’s “Butchers”

TMC warned the party’s Sonarpur Dakshin MLA Arundhuti Maitra alias Lovely Maitra for her comments on protesting doctors. The party told Maitra, who had called the protesting doctors “butchers”, to refrain from making such statements.

Earlier, BJP shared a video of Lovely Maitra, where she could be heard calling the doctors protesting over the Kolkata rape-murder case as “butchers”. Similarly, in another such video shared by the BJP, the MLA is seen saying that she knows how to “lower” the fingers pointing at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The BJP’s Keya Ghosh highlighted Maitra’s comments, questioning her choice of doctors if she were ill and noting her husband’s role as an IPS officer under the TMC government.
