7 Dalits were injured after masked men allegedly attacked them in Tamil Nadu’s Tenkasi and Tirunelveli districts. A gang of 9 assaulted villagers with sickles before fleeing. Victims were hospitalised and a case has been registered. Political leaders condemned the incident, alleging failure of law enforcement and repeated violence against Dalits in the region.
