Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the 3-day annual national conference of Director Generals of Police (DGP) and Inspector Generals of Police (IGP) today. The 3-day annual conference will begin today, January 5, and will close on January 7, 2024. In this regard, the Bharatiya Janata Party workers have set up all arrangements ahead of PM Modi and Amit Shah’s visit to Jaipur city to join the conference.
According to the latest schedule, the 3-day conference will deliberate on the challenges and issues posed by artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, counter-terrorism, left-wing extremism, and narcotics smuggling. Meanwhile, the main agenda of the conference is deliberations on the road map for the implementation of the new criminal laws recently passed by Parliament. However, PM Modi has taken a keen interest in the DGP conference since 2014.
In addition to that, the conference also provides an opportunity to identify tangible action points and monitor their progress, which is also presented before the Prime Minister every year. However, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Cabinet Secretary, senior officials of the Government of India, DGP of all States and Union Territories, and Heads of all Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations will join the conference.
