PM Narendra Modi will begin the BJP’s Lok Sabha poll campaign on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He will begin the BJP’s poll campaign from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh and will address a poll rally. In fact, Meerut is popularly known as the political capital of western Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP fielded Arun Govil from the Meerut Lok Sabha constituency. Interestingly, Arun Govil was the star actor who played the ‘Lord Sri Ram’ role in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan in the 1980s.
However, the 2024 Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases in UP. Voting for the first and second phases will be conducted on April 19 and April 26. The last phase of Lok Sabha polls will be held on June 1, 2024.
However, the counting of votes will be conducted on June 4, 2024. In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP secured 71 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP secured 64 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP. Now, the BJP wants to win all 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
