According to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, his government’s key goals are passenger safety and security. On the first day of the winter session, he was responding to a question in the Rajya Sabha during Question Hour. According to Scindia, his ministry penalizes any airline or airport found to be at fault right away.
“Our ministry’s top concerns are security and safety. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) closely monitors every airport for security purposes, and the Department of General Aviation (DGCA) promulgates Civil Aviation Rules (CARs) to ensure passenger safety. The government imposes penalties on airlines and airports upon conviction, the minister stated.
