Jailed activist Sharjeel Imam has withdrawn his interim bail plea to contest the Bihar elections and will now move the Supreme Court. Imam sought temporary release to campaign from Bahadurganj but remains in custody under UAPA for alleged involvement in the Delhi riots conspiracy. He has been in Tihar Jail since January 2020.
Jan Suraaj Party announced Chanchal Singh as its candidate from Raghopur, confirming that founder Prashant Kishor will not contest the Bihar elections.
