“Our Vision Was Not Bharat-Centric Until PM Modi Changed It”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised PM Modi and said that after independence, those who loved the country felt bad that its vision was not “Bharat-centric” till the time that then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. He made these statements while addressing the Pujya Purani Swami Smriti Mahotsav organized by Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam in Ahmedabad.
He also asserted that from 1950, all Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists took steps to change this way of life. Till the day when Gujarat’s CM assumed the position of prime minister and the entire world began to sing praises to Bharat, many generations of our party members toiled to make that happen, and many of them even lost their lives. The Union Minister praised India’s accomplishments over the years, stating that the nation is currently on track to become the leading producer of mobile phones and ranks third in terms of startup and renewable energy.
Amit Shah further stated, “Today, we are progressing towards being the top mobile phone manufacturer, we rank third as far as start-ups are concerned, third in renewable energy production and no one doubts us now as far as security is concerned.” He proposed that, up until its repeal in 2019, Article 370 spawned separatism and terrorism. At final the Home Minister expressed gratitude to Swami Narayan Sampradaya for its assistance in promoting Gujarat’s Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan, saying, “Swami Narayan Sampradaya has enlightened several people.” I have to admit that Gujarat’s Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan would not have been complete if the gurukul of Swami Narayan Sampradaya had not operated in several locations throughout the state.
