Poll strategist Prashant Kishor recently criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding his comments on Bihar’s development, labeling it “laughable” given the RJD’s long tenure in power from 1990 to 2005. Kishor emphasized that Yadav’s claims about the state’s progress are questionable, especially since the RJD has been in governance for 15 years during which law and order issues persisted.
Kishor remarked that Yadav should focus on pressing issues such as caste politics, extortion, and crime rather than touting a development narrative. He suggested that Yadav’s lack of understanding of economic concepts like GDP undermines his credibility when discussing Bihar’s development story. Kishor’s comments reflect a broader strategy to challenge the RJD’s political narrative as he prepares to launch his own political outfit, Jan Suraaj, in October 2024.
