The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted moderate rains in several states for the next two days. The IMD also predicted gusty winds would blow at a speed of 30 km per hour.
The IMD predicted light to moderate rains along with thunderstorms in several parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Sub-Himalayan, and Gangetic West Bengal until August 6.

The IMD predicted light to moderate rains in Jagityala, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Sirisilla, Manchiryala, Bhupalapally, Peddapally, and Mulugu districts.
Telangana state has received ‘normal’ rainfall this monsoon so far, and it is 27% above the average rainfall. In fact, Telangana has recorded 461.1 mm of rainfall for the period between June 1 and July 31, surpassing the average of 364.5 mm of rainfall.
Hyderabad recorded 294.6 mm of rainfall against the average of 282.3 mm. Meanwhile, the lowest rainfall in the city was recorded at Trimulgherry at 202.4 mm against 288.9 mm and Ameerpet at 237.5 mm against 295.8 mm.
