Works That Should’ve Been Done 50 Years Ago Are Done Now: PM Modi

PM Modi took a veiled dig at late former PM Rajiv Gandhi. He asserted that he used to continuously talk about the 21st century but was “disconnected from reality.” PM Modi also cited a cartoon made by renowned cartoonist RK Laxman and said it was an example of how Gandhi’s talks were just ‘hawa hawai’ (wishful thinking). “Works that should have been done 40-50 years earlier are done now,” PM said.
