Their standout performance was a 210-run partnership against Pakistan in the 2018 Asia Cup, contributing to their impressive average partnership of 45.15. They rank as the third most successful partnership in Indian cricket history, behind Sachin Tendulkar-Sourav Ganguly and Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli, and eighth globally.
Dhawan debuted in 2010 and became a key figure in Indian cricket with his explosive batting and charismatic presence. Over a 13-year international career, he played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is, amassing 2,315, 6,793, and 1,579 runs, respectively. In the IPL, he represented Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Punjab, scoring 6,769 runs in 222 games. Dhawan’s final international appearances were in ODI against Bangladesh in December 2022, and T20I was in Sri Lanka in July 2021, with his last Test match dating back to 2018.
