PM Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat on Sunday. There, PM Modi visited the historic Dwarkadhish Temple and offered prayers. After offering prayers at the temple, PM inaugurated ‘Sudarshan Setu’, India’s longest cable-stayed bridge of 2.32 km.
The bridge was situated on the Arabian Sea, connecting Beyt Dwarka island to mainland Okha in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district. The bridge was constructed at a cost of ₹979 crore. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for several development projects worth more than ₹4150 crore in Dwarka.
The bridge was previously known as “Signature Bridge,” but it is now called “Sudarshan Setu,” or Sudarshan Bridge. The well-known Dwarkadhish temple of Lord Krishna is located in Dwarka town, approximately 30 kilometers away from the island of Beyt Dwarka, which is close to Okha harbor.
After this, PM Modi will also visit AIIMS Rajkot at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to the official statement, at the Rajkot Race Course Ground, the prime minister will unveil many development projects valued at over ₹48,100 crore at 4:30 p.m.
An official statement states that it has a distinctive design, with pictures of Lord Krishna and Bhagavad Gita phrases adorning the walkway on both sides. One kilowatt of electricity is produced by solar panels that are mounted on the top parts of the walkway over the bridge.
