Meta Platforms Inc. will face new lawsuits in Japan over fraudulent ads soliciting investment funds with fake celebrity endorsements. Approxly 30 plaintiffs are seeking at least 300 million yen (about $2 million), claiming Meta failed to prevent these scams. Lawsuits will be filed in five district courts, including Saitama, Chiba, and Osaka, citing the company’s responsibility to investigate advertisements.
