Stock Markets Open Higher As Oil Prices Spike Globally

Indian stock markets opened higher today, with Sensex rising 139.36 points to 78,632.90 and Nifty 50 gaining 37.95 points to 24,391.50. Bank Nifty also advanced 138.35 points to 56,704.05 while rupee traded at 92.66 per US dollar. Oil prices surged after Iran’s actions around Strait of Hormuz, pushing Brent crude up 6.10% to $95.89 per barrel amid volatility.
