The Election Commission has instructed responsible use of social media in the ongoing poll campaigns in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Digital platforms must respond within 3 hours to complaints about misleading AI-generated or morphed videos. It has also mandated that political parties clearly label AI-created images and videos as ‘AI-generated’.
