India’s digital payments sector continued its expansion in May, with UPI transactions reaching 23.20 billion, marking a 24% year-on-year increase. As per the NPCI, the total transaction value touched ₹29.90 lakh crore, reflecting a 19% annual rise. On average, 748 mn transactions were processed daily, while the daily transaction value stood at ₹96,465 crore.
