Delhi CM Flags Off Drain-Cleaning Excavator In Najafgarh

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta today launched an amphibious excavator for the Najafgarh drain cleanup. Visiting Badusarai, she said the machine, procured by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, will speed up silt and garbage removal, improving drainage. The Najafgarh drain, a major contributor to Yamuna pollution, holds an estimated 1 crore metric tons of silt.
