The Kerala High Court has permitted the Vadakkumnathan Temple advisory committee to install advertisement boards for Thrissur Pooram, setting aside the Cochin Devaswom Board’s denial. The court found the decision arbitrary. The festival began on April 20, but celebrations will be toned down this year following a fireworks unit explosion that claimed lives.
