Teacher Suspended For Declaring Student ‘Dead’ In School Register

A teacher in Madhya Pradesh’s Mauganj, Heeralal Patel, caused a stir by marking a Class III student, Jitendra Kori, as “dead” in the school register and taking leave to attend the funeral. The student was later found alive. Patel, who claimed the mistake was due to his diabetes, faced suspension on Tuesday. The incident occurred at Chikir Ka Tota government primary school in Chakrahan Tola village.
