A total of 44 inmates in Gujarat prisons have passed Class 10 and 12 state board exams, officials said. Equal numbers cleared both levels with support from prison education programmes, books, and in-jail classes. Exam centres were set up inside prisons. Authorities said the achievement reflects rehabilitation through education and renewed hope among inmates.
