The central government has ordered the Delhi Gymkhana Club in Lutyens’ Delhi to hand over its 27.3-acre premises by June 5 for defence infrastructure and public security purposes. The land, earlier leased for club use, will be reclaimed under lease terms. Authorities will take possession via the Land & Development Office if the club fails to comply.
