Karnataka has suspended property mutation processes for lands allegedly transferred to the Waqf Board and warned of strict action against officials issuing eviction notices to farmers. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s directive followed complaints from over 500 farmers about arbitrary land transfers. The Revenue Department emphasized that no action should be taken against farmers cultivating the land.
