The District Magistrate of Dehradun has closed all schools and Anganwadi centers (Classes 1-12) today due to the intense heatwave. While other states like Chhattisgarh and West Bengal have started full summer breaks, Uttarakhand is currently using targeted closures to protect students from extreme temperatures. Relief is expected by early next week.
