Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet in Gandhinagar on Monday, where he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Naidu stressed the need for climate-resilient strategies in the energy sector and highlighted the significant renewable energy potential in Andhra Pradesh. He expressed his pleasure at meeting Modi, sharing a video of their interaction on social media, and emphasized the importance of transitioning energy practices to meet future demands.
Naidu is one of the keynote speakers at the event and is advocating for increased investments in Andhra Pradesh’s green energy sector. He pointed out that the state is at the forefront of technological advancements in energy and outlined the necessity for new strategies in energy generation, transmission, and utilization to address climate challenges.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet and Expo, organized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). In related news, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is also attending the meet. He announced that Telangana plans to generate 20,000 MW of green power by 2029-30 and is providing solar panels for farmers’ pump sets as part of a pilot project in select villages, aiming to boost both agricultural productivity and renewable energy use.
