Mountaineers have reopened the Mount Everest climbing route after a massive ice chunk blocked it for nearly two weeks. The obstruction, caused by a dangerous serac in the Khumbu Icefall, delayed hundreds of climbers. Sherpa teams fixed ropes and ladders, restoring access up to Camp I and allowing summit preparations to resume.
