The Calcutta High Court ordered a three-member CBI SIT to probe developments in the RG Kar rape-murder case of a trainee doctor in August 2024. The team will examine events from her dinner to cremation, including alleged evidence destruction and cover-up claims. The SIT, headed by a CBI Joint Director, must submit a detailed report by June 25.
