Madrassa Teacher Arrested For Branding Boy, Applying Chili Powder

Madrassa teacher Umair Ashrafi was arrested in Kerala for allegedly branding a student with an iron and smearing chili powder on his private parts over disobedience. After fleeing to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, he was tracked to Tanur based on a tip-off and arrested. Ashrafi was charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and remanded to judicial custody following a court hearing.
