FIR Filed Against SP’s Sambhal MP For Alleged Power Theft

Sambhal MP Ziaur Rehman Barq, from the Samajwadi Party, was booked by Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday for alleged electricity theft at his residence in Deepa Sarai, Sambhal. The FIR, filed under the Electricity Act, 2003, claims the meter was bypassed to illegally use power. The inspection was conducted by the power department with heavy security.
