Nirmala Sitharaman Highlights Women’s Progress, Govt Schemes For Youth

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman questioned the notion that patriarchy holds women back in India, citing the example of Indira Gandhi, who became PM despite societal barriers. During her visit to CMS Business School in Bengaluru, Sitharaman also discussed govt initiatives supporting innovation and youth, including a scheme offering 1 crore internships for 21 to 24-year-olds.
