Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the first-ever National Creators Awards in New Delhi on Friday. This new initiative recognizes excellence and influence from content creators in a wide range of fields, including storytelling, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming. The awards serve as a platform to encourage creators who use their talents to bring about positive change.
Twenty categories were awarded, including Best Storyteller, Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator, Green Champion, Social Change Advocate, Best Agri Content Creator, Cultural Ambassador, and International Creator.
Among the winners was Maithili Thakur, a classically trained singer of Indian folk music, who received the Cultural Ambassador of the Year award. Over 150,000 nominations were submitted across the categories, with roughly 1 million votes cast during the selection process. Ultimately, 23 creators were chosen, including three from outside India.

Best Nano Creator: Piyush Purohit
Best Micro Creator: Aridaman
