Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday, following her recent meeting with Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday.
Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday, following her recent meeting with Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday.
In an X post, Bhaker expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to meet Rajnath Singh, saying she was honored by his support and inspired by his motivational words.
The Defence Minister also shared a post, expressing his delight in meeting Bhaker, who made history by winning two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics. He congratulated her for her incredible performances and wished her success in her future endeavors.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda also took to social media, posting images of his meeting with Bhaker at his Delhi residence. He praised her as the “pride of Haryana” and congratulated her on her historic achievements at the Olympics.
Hooda extended his best wishes to Bhaker and her family. On August 6, Bhaker, alongside Indian shooter Sarabjot Singh, won the 10 m air pistol mixed team bronze at the Paris Olympics, defeating South Korea.
Bhaker also secured a bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol event, becoming the first Indian post-Independence to win two medals in a single Olympic edition.
