AP CM Chandrababu Naidu stated that Andhra Pradesh is experiencing unprecedented flooding. He reported that 6 lakh people have been affected and warned that additional rains are expected due to a low-pressure trough.
The TDP chief Naidu assured that government officials are working to prevent further damage to ponds and canals. In light of the severe flooding, he urged residents to take all necessary precautions.
The govt of AP has issued an official statement regarding flood damage. It is estimated that 78 ponds and canals have been flooded.
According to the press release, 45 people have died due to recent floods in various parts of the state. NTR district has reported the highest number of fatalities, with 35 deaths, followed by 7 in Guntur, and one each in Palnadu and Eluru districts.
CM Chandrababu has also assured motorists that the government will implement measures to provide insurance coverage for vehicles damaged in the recent floods.
Additionally, the TDP chief committed to repairing household appliances for flood-affected families. During a press conference on Sunday, Naidu promised that autos, cars, and bikes submerged in the floods will be repaired.
