The state’s reservoirs now have higher water levels as a result of the severe rainfall. As the weather system is expected to cause significant rainfall in parts of the districts of Kakinada, Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Manyam, and Srikakulam on Wednesday, the weathermen projected that Andhra Pradesh recorded 13% less rainfall than average during this year’s southwest monsoon, which ran from June 1 to September 30, according to an IMD report. Additionally, the state received 80.6 mm of rainfall during the northeast monsoon period, which ran from October 1 to November 27, compared to the typical rainfall of 255.6 mm during that time. As a result, 68% of them left. However, Andhra Pradesh’s seasonal rain deficit has decreased by 36% since October as a result of the ongoing, intense rains in Tirupati, Nellore, Bapatla, Prakasam, Krishna, and a few other districts brought on by storm Michaung on Monday and Tuesday. The typical rainfall for this period in the state is 267.7 mm; however, from October 1 to December 5, the state received only 171.8 mm.
