20-Year-Old AP Student Died At Boston University In US

A 20-year-old Indian student died at Boston University in the US. The US officials revealed on Monday that the Indian student was identified as Abhijeeth Paruchuru, whose hometown is Tenali city in Andhra Pradesh.

The Consulate General of India in New York has shared a post on X and said that it is very deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate demise of Mr. Abhijeeth Paruchuru, an Indian Andhra student at Boston University.

According to sources, Paruchuru’s parents are based in Connecticut, US, and are in direct contact with detectives. The consulate also said that a complete probe is underway, and more details are yet to be known.

However, Paruchuru’s last rites have already been conducted in his hometown of Tenali, Andhra Pradesh. At least six deaths of Indian and Indian-origin students have been reported in the US since the beginning of 2024.
