National Mathematics Day Celebrated To Honor Srinivasa Ramanujan

National Mathematics Day is celebrated on December 22 to honor the birth anniversary of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. To commemorate his contributions to mathematics, the Government of India declared December 22 as Mathematics Day starting in 2012. In the same year, a postage stamp featuring an image of Ramanujan was released.
