A gold ornament weighing 1.5 kg was taken from a parked automobile in Armoor. Dr. Pawar Eshwar Chandra allegedly stole the gold jewelry from his Armoor Cooperative Bank vault and stored it in a bag in his car. He went to the Mahalaxmi Temple and conducted pujas before returning to his house in the Mahalaxmi Colony. He discovered the gold bag was missing from the car when he got back from the temple.
