The Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (TSCSCL) has invited international tenders for the sale of 35 lakh metric tons (LMT), consisting of one lot of 1.59 LMTS of rice and eleven lots of three LMTs of paddy. Grade A/common paddy stockpiled in 1,832 mills and godowns spread across 28 districts has prompted the calling of E tenders.
The Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (TSCSCL) has invited international tenders for the sale of 35 lakh metric tons (LMT), consisting of one lot of 1.59 LMTS of rice and eleven lots of three LMTs of paddy. Grade A/common paddy stockpiled in 1,832 mills and godowns spread across 28 districts has prompted the calling of E tenders. The corporation purchased the paddy under minimum support price operations during the rabi 2022–2023. TSCSCL had a pre-bid meeting. Bids will be accepted starting on January 25 and closing on February 7, 2024.
The financial bid will be opened the day after the technical bid, which is scheduled to start on January 8. An earnest money deposit (EMD) of $585 per metric ton is required of those who wish to bid. One of the requirements for bidder eligibility is that the bidder’s turnover in commodity trading during the previous three years must be in the range of Rs 200 crore. Should the winning bidder fail to submit the five percent security deposit within the allotted period, the bid will be canceled. The paid EMD will be forfeited, and the bidder will be blacklisted if they don’t comply.
