The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) today reached a milestone on the Gaganyaan Mission. Earlier on Wednesday, the ISRO completed the human rating of its CE20 cryogenic engine, which is a critical component of the prestigious Gaganyaan mission. It is known that India aimed for the Gaganyaan Mission in 2024–2025 and set up ‘Bharatiya Antariksha Station’ by 2035. ISRO will also send the first Indian to the Moon by 2040.
The ISRO scientists said that ISRO achieved a key milestone in the human rating of its CE20 cryogenic engine that powers the cryogenic stage of the human-rated LVM3 launch vehicle for the Gaganyaan mission. However, it was the seventh of a series of vacuum ignition tests held at the High Altitude Test Facility at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri.
In fact, ISRO completed the acceptance tests of the flight engine identified for the first unmanned Gaganyaan mission. It is known that India reached new heights with the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the South Pole of the Moon and the launch of Aditya-L1 in 2023.
