Amit Shah Begins 3-Day Visit To Assam, Meghalaya Today

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has begun his 3-day official visit to Assam and Meghalaya today. In this regard, Amit Shah arrived in Shillong today, and Shah will inaugurate a cyber-security operational center of the Assam Rifles on the premises of the Assam Rifles headquarters in Shillong, Meghalaya.
According to the schedule, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will join the 71st Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) at the State Convention Centre, Shillong, on Friday, January 19. Shah will also review the functioning of the North Eastern Space Applications Center (NESAC) on January 19.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah’s Assam visit is likely to coincide with Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which will commence from Nagaland for Assam today. Interestingly, Union Home Minister Shah will visit Assam and will also take part in many events, including the 61st Raising Day celebrations of the SSB and the passing out parade of Assam Police commandos on January 20, 2024.
During the visit to Assam on January 20, Amit Shah will attend the passing-out parade of 2,551 Assam Police commandos at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. However, Shah will also launch a prestigious book named “Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukan” at Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium in Guwahati.
