Microsoft and OpenAI announced a major overhaul of their AI partnership, giving both companies more independence while continuing close collaboration. Microsoft will hold about 27 percent of the restructured OpenAI, valuing its stake at roughly $135 billion. OpenAI is also transitioning to a public benefit corporation structure, confirmed by the company.
