ISRO, NIOT Join Hands For Deep-Sea Mission

ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre has signed an MoU with the National Institute of Ocean Technology to develop MATSYA-6000. It is a submersible spherical vessel designed to carry humans to a depth of 6 km for ocean exploration and resource utilization. The human-occupied vehicle is part of ‘Samudrayaan,’ a project under the Deep Ocean Mission of the MoEs.
