India’s Manika Batra dominated Lily Zhang of the USA, winning 3-0 to advance to the women’s singles pre-quarterfinals at the WTT Champions in Montpellier, France. The match lasted under 22 minutes, with scores of 11-4, 11-8, and 12-10. Batra will next face either eighth-seeded Bernadette Szocs of Romania or Thailand’s Orawan Paranang. Sreeja Akula also competes later against Adriana Diaz.
