FIFA Announces New Soccer Tournament For Southeast Asia

FIFA president Gianni Infantino revealed a new soccer tournament for Southeast Asian nations at the ASEAN summit in Malaysia. Unlike the biennial ASEAN Championship, this tournament will take place during FIFA’s international match window, allowing global league players to join their national teams. Vietnam won the latest ASEAN Championship in January.
