Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, asserted that they would shortly adopt the Uniform Civil Code. Dhami stated at the Shasthi Purti Mahotsav, which was held on Saturday in Vatsalya Gram, Vrindavan, to commemorate 60 years of Sadhvi Ritambhara’s “sanyas,” that the law for its implementation will be presented in the legislature shortly. UCC is an all-religious people’s common code of personal laws.
He took a jab at the opposition parties by claiming that those who opened fire on “Ram bhakts” would never have built the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, revoked Article 370, which gave Jammu and Kashmir special status, or done away with triple talaq. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya on January 22, fulfilling the vow to build a temple there, according to Dhami.
Dhami wished Sadhvi Ritambhara a long life and asked the seers in attendance for their blessings, describing her as the embodiment of “vatsalya” (affection) and motherhood. “Her lectures during the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation inspired me,” Dhami stated, adding that he was encouraged to serve the people with greater vigor and power by Sadhvi Ritambhara’s love and blessings.
