Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s wife and daughters got interim bail in the land-for-jobs scam case. Today, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi granted interim bail to former Bihar CM Rabri Devi and her daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav until the next date of hearing. However, the case has been listed for consideration on bail on February 28, 2024.
Earlier, a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court issued notices against Amit Katyal, Rabri Devi, Misha Bharti, Hema Yadav, and Hridyanand Chaudhary to be present on February 9 in the ‘land for job scam’. According to the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Amit Katyal attended by video conference, and Rabri, Misa, and Hema appeared in person before the court.
The CBI alleged that RJD chief Lalu had obtained land in the name of his family members in exchange for jobs in Group D posts in several railway zones. On the other hand, a number of Patna residents had also sold their land to Lalu’s relatives and a privately held business.
