PM Modi Offers Special Prayers At Kothandaramaswamy Temple In Rameshwaram

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today offered special prayers at Kothandaramaswamy Temple in the Dhanushkodi area of Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, PM Modi is currently in the last legs of his spiritual journey leading up to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla in the Ayodhya temple tomorrow, January 22, 2024.
Earlier today, PM Modi visited Ram Setu’s origin point, the Arichal Munai in Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu. According to Hindu Puranas, Arichal Munai is the origin point from which the Ram Setu was built. During the visit, PM Modi has offered floral tribute to the Arichal Munai point.
According to the Ramayana, Dhanushkodi was a place where Ravana’s brother Vibhishana first met Lord Sri Ram and sought refuge. Dhanushkodi is the place where Sri Ram took the vow to defeat Ravana and proceeded to Lanka. In fact, the name Kothandarama literally means Rama with the bow.
Earlier on Saturday, PM Modi visited Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Tiruchirappalli and Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram. It is known that PM Modi is practicing an auspicious 11-day ‘Anushtaan’ and set out on a pilgrimage to shrines associated with Lord Ram across the country ahead of the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony tomorrow.
